Einstein@Home users have discovered a Pulsar, to be named PSR J2007+2722, 17,000 light years away from Earth. The Pulsar was discovered by Chris and Helen Colvin, from Ames Iowa and Daniel Gebhardt, Universitaet Mainz, Germany. This discovery is a tremendous success, not only for Einstein@Home, but also for the BOINC platform, distributed computing as a concept and citizen science generally.
